Speaking This Wednesday: ERISA Lien Resolution for the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association

I’m presenting a live CLE this Wednesday, April 1st at noon (MT) for the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association on how to identify and resolve ERISA liens in personal injury cases.

The presentation walks through a practical framework for distinguishing ERISA plans from non-ERISA plans, determining funding status, analyzing plan language, and applying negotiation strategies that achieve real reductions while protecting settlement proceeds and avoiding disbursement delays.

The program is approved for 1 hour of CLE credit by the Wyoming State Bar and is free for WTLA members. It’s offered via live stream, so you can attend from anywhere.

Before starting Merschbrock Law, I spent years on the defense side as a Subrogation & Litigation Attorney for the nation’s largest post-payment healthcare recovery vendor — advising benefit plans and negotiating thousands of ERISA reimbursement claims. I built this presentation around what I learned on that side of the table, and what plaintiff’s attorneys need to know to push back effectively.

If you have questions about ERISA liens or lien resolution generally, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help.
